On Tuesday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Jennifer Simek from the Lubbock Arboretum talked with Tom Collins and Laura Mac about their upcoming water gardens tour.

The Roberta Davis Memorial Water Garden Tour will be held this weekend. The 5th annual tour will feature ponds, waterfalls and other water features forma  variety of homes in Lubbock and Ransom Canyon. Simek said that Roberta Davis was a leading expert of water gardens when she was alive, and that this tour is held every year to honor her. Simek also added that many of these water features are conservation-friendly and capture and re-use a majority of the water they use up.

The garden tour will be held Saturday, August 3rd at will be offered at two different time: 9 AM to 1 PM and 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM. Tickets are $8 and are available for purchase at the arboretum. All proceeds from the tour go to benefit the arboretum.
