The Lubbock Memorial Arboretum will host their annual garden tour next week.

The Arboretum, located at 41st and University Avenue, will host the tour on Saturday, June 15th from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The garden tour will feature six homes plus the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum.

A press release from the City of Lubbock states that the group strives to showcase options for multiple styles of gardens, including artfully planed wildflowers to a backyard retreat.

The tour includes both do-it-yourself gardens and professionally designed and installed landscapes.

The Arboretum’s wildflower garden is currently in full bloom with poppies, larkspur, and other wildflowers. They will also sell 55 gallon rain barrels with hardware kits for $40 each.

This year’s tour locations include the Arboretum and the homes of:

  • Alice Langley, 5409 12th Street
  • Danny and Daniece Odom, 1909 29th Street
  • Rosie Sanders and Jannette Beck, 4918 18th Street
  • Dan and Jo Bray, 4831 7th Street
  • Judith and Orville Wilmington, 5431 16th Street
  • Suzan Fannin, 5903 85th Street

Garden tour tickets may be purchased at the Arboretum or any of the tour locations. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for Arboretum members, and children under the age of 12 can attend for free.

All proceeds go toward the improvement and upkeep of the Arboretum.
