On Tuesday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Jennifer Simek from the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum talked with Tom Collins and Laura Mac about the upcoming Private Garden Tour.

This month, the Lubbock Arboretum will be hosting a private garden tour of several homes in the area. This year's tour will feature 6 different homes and gardens, as well as the arboretum.

Simek said the homes featured in the tour will be publish in the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal the morning prior to the tour, and that people can go to and from the houses as they please.  She added that she was glad to see how hospitable the homeowners are to open their houses up to the public.

The tour will take place Saturday, June 15th, from 9 AM to 3 PM. Tickets are $7 for adults, free for children 12 and under, and are available at the Lubbock Arboretum or at the houses featured on the tour.
