Today on Lubbock's First News, Ashlie Watson of The Bridge of Lubbock talked about an upcoming summer camp for kids 1st through 12th grade.

To keep your kids from getting bored this summer, programs such as The Bridge of Lubbock summer camp provide plenty of activities and entertainment to ensure your children are occupied. Ashlie Watson swung by the studio today to discuss this upcoming camp with Tom and Laura. The camp will consist of one week devoted to 1st through 5th graders followed by one week for 6th through 12th. The first week will kick off this coming Monday, the 16th. Events the kids will participate in include bowling, swimming, football, basketball, skating, and other physical activities. Watson mentioned that there would also be "a whole lot of devotionals and life skills. We actually focus on East Lubbock, so we really want our youth to be able to learn more about leadership and financial literacy and life past high school." Breakfast, lunch and a snack will be provided every day. To sign up, drop by The Bridge of Lubbock anytime this week between 9AM and 4PM.
