Texas Tech Golfer Kim Kaufman Claims South Dakota Championship

A Texas Tech women’s golfer has claimed a championship.

Junior Kim Kaufman captured the South Dakota Women’s Amateur Championship recently, finishing nine strokes ahead of the rest of the field.

The victory comes after three straight rounds all in the 60s during the Championship. Kaufman, a native of Clark, South Dakota, took home the championship in 2009 as well.

She opens the Minnesota State Open in Hastings, Minnesota on Tuesday morning.
