The Texas Tech women’s golf team has claimed yet another title.

The Lady Raiders golf team closed the fall season with a four-stroke victory at the Texas State Challenge Wednesday, taking the third tournament title of the JoJo Robertson era.

The win was taken at the Onion Creek Golf Club in Austin, Texas.

The 24th ranked Lady Raiders beat out UTSA and Michigan, particularly behind the play of Tech seniors Kim Kaufman and Gabby Dominguez.

Tech closed the tournament with a 15-over-295 final round. This is their first tournament win since the Baylor Invitational last April.

“It wasn’t our prettiest day but our team found a way to win,” said Lady Raider head coach JoJo Robertson. “The group has worked hard all fall and this is a good win for us.”

Robertson became the fourth head coach for women’s golf in school history in 2009, and is the first coach to lead the team to a tournament title in three consecutive seasons.

Lady Raider golf will begin play again in the Lady Puerto Rico Classic on February 12th, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
