Freshman Gabby Barker shot a 3-under 69 to help propel the Texas Tech women’s golf team into the match play round at the NCAA Women’s Golf Championships in Bradenton, Florida Monday.
Texas Tech junior Kimmy Hill fired a 4-under 68 and followed it with an even par 70 on Monday to help push Tech into fourth place after two rounds at the UC-Irvine Invitational.
“This wasn’t our best effort and our players know that,” said Tech head coach JoJo Robertson. “I think we will learn a lot from this, though, and we’ll be ready to go next week in Florida.”
