On Saturday, August 2, 2014, a DPS trooper pulled over a 2014 Dodge Avenger traveling east on Interstate Highway 40 near Bushland for a traffic violation around 11 a.m. a subsequent search of the vehicle revealed liquid-cocaine, counterfeit bills and weapons.
Three properties were searched on Tuesday in Young County, which yielded approximately 28 grams of methamphetamine and two firearms.
A portion of I-27 will be closed Tuesday to allow Texas DPS troopers to investigate a deadly one-car accident that occurred in late March.

The drugs were allegedly being transported from Fontana, California, to Oklahoma City.

The drugs, valued at more than $54,000, were allegedly being transported from California to Aransas Pass, Texas.
Lubbock Police Sergeant Jason Lewis confirmed that 15-year-old Noemi Velazquez has been located and a suspect is in the custody of Lubbock Police.
