Lubbock Historical Commission Receives Recognition [AUDIO]
In this week’s Lubbock County Commissioners Court meeting, the Lubbock Historical Commission was honored with the Texas Historical Commission’s 2010 Distinguished Service Award for overseeing preservation work in the county. Commissioner Patti Jones explains:

The grant from the Historical Commission was used to hire Tech Students to take photographs of historical areas in the surrounding area. The Texas Historical Commission Distinguished Service Award is a highly acclaimed award. The work awarded was over the 2009-2010 preservation work.
