Burn Ban Reinstated for Lubbock County

Lubbock County Commissioners have reinstated the area’s burn ban.
Following a period of dryness and unseasonably warm temperatures, the Lubbock County Commissioners Court voted today to reinstate the burn ban for Lubbock County.
The ban prohibits all outdoor burning. All welding, cutting, and grinding operations are also banned on days designated as Red Flag Warning days.
Anyone caught violating the burn ban may face a Class C misdemeanor, punishable by a fine up to $500.
