Thursday on Sunrise LBK with Dave King and Tom Collins, The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Dave and Tom to talk about his test drive of the week, the high gas prices in Texas, the all time high car prices, as well as other auto industry news.

The Car Pro had a tough time adjusting from last week's 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer to his test drive for this week, being the 2022 Mini Cooper John Cooper Works Edition. Despite this, Reynolds was happy to get a car to drive at all in the midst of the ongoing chip shortage, where he says some reviewers have been unable to get new cars at all. Jerry started by saying that this is not something that he would drive on a daily basis, due to its small size, but he still had fun with it. The car comes in a 6 speed manual and an 8 speed automatic version. The 6 speed version that Jerry was driving has 228 horses, 236 lb. ft. of torque, and gets 37 miles to the gallon. The car also has comfortable seats that fit well around you, although the back seats are a little bit smaller, a panoramic moonroof, and feels fun and fast to drive. The 2022 Mini Cooper John Cooper Works Edition has a window sticker price of $40,500.

Reynolds also talked about some stories on his website carprousa.com. One story talks about the all time high record for average new car prices. Another article has a fun test that helps you find out "how old your reaction times are".
