Tuesday, April 26th is an important day in the life of Tom Collins. It's his mother's birthday.

Tom was telling me earlier this week, "What do you get someone that turns 95?" It wasn't a rhetorical question, as he quickly answered 'A mariachi band!'.

During Tuesday morning's edition of Sunrise LBK on KFYO, Tom brought a few members of Mariachi Mexico Lindo (Lubbock) into the studio, and he had them play a few of the songs that will be played at his mother's birthday party.

While only two members of Mariachi Mexico Lindo were in the KFYO studio on Tuesday, the full band (which is 10 members) will be playing at the birthday party.

In the audio player below, you can hear a few songs from Mariachi Mexico Lindo along with their interview with Dave King and Tom Collins.
