Texas Public Policy Foundation’s David Guenthner Says Special Session Should Wind Down On Time [AUDIO]
On the Thursday edition of The Chad Hasty Show, David Guenthner from the Texas Public Policy Foundation talked with Chad Hasty about the latest coming out of Austin.
There are only 5 days left in the special session of the Texas legislature, and according to Guenthner, everything is on track to finish on time. he said the Senate has passed all of their items on the agenda, and now everyone is waiting on the House to pass their items.
Among other items, the House is expected to take up redistricting today, then they will take up transportation funding on Sunday and the abortion bill on Tuesday. Guenthner expects there may be a few stumbling points along the way, such as the "fetal pain" addition to the abortion bill. But he added that all items will most likely pass and that the special session will wrap up without having to call a second session.
