According to an article at Smartasset.com, Texas Tech University ranks ninth in the state of Texas for starting salaries for new graduates.

Texas Tech's average graduate starting salary is listed as $56,800 per year, as compared to Rice University at number one, which had an average starting salary of $71,000.

Texas Tech was number six on the list, detailing the best overall value where all cost and pay factors were considered. The University of Texas at Austin and Texas A&M at College Station ranked number two and three, respectively.
