Free College Application Week starts on October 12 this year all across the state, and Texas Tech is throwing its cowboy hat in the ring. In fact, TTU is going one step further by adding its own little bonus to the initiative.

Free Application All Week Long

From October 12 through 18, Texas residents can sign up for undergrad programs through ApplyTexas, and Texas Tech will waive the application fee.

This is a statewide initiative that was first started by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to encourage Texans to pursue college and university education without worrying too much about the financial costs.

Texas Tech Going Above and Beyond

Free Application Week is all well and good, but Texas Tech University thought, "But what if we did it better?"

So, in addition to all undergrad application fees being waived during the week, Texas Tech will also be offering free applications for Texas residents eligible for graduate programs. ALSO, current undergraduate students can take advantage and apply to the Graduate School for free during that same time period regardless of where their residency is.

Here are the programs that are and are not included in Free Application Week:

  • In-state undergraduate programs - Free application
  • In-state graduate programs - Free application
  • Current TTU undergrads applying to grad school - Free application
  • Online applicants - Free application
  • Law School - Free application
  • School of Veterinary Medicine - Application is NOT FREE

How to Apply Today

With over 150 undergraduate degree programs and more than 200 graduate and professional programs, Texas Tech University makes it as simple as ever to find the perfect career path for anyone looking to strive for greatness.
