Why Texas Tech Is Surging In The Latest National College Rankings
For the fourth year in a row, Texas Tech University has risen in the rankings of Best Colleges from U.S. News & World Report. The reason for the consistent improvement? That would be the result of three driving factors that the university strives to uphold.
TTU Jumping Up in the Rankings
According to the recent rankings from U.S. News & World Report, Texas Tech cracked the top 100 public universities in the country!
That's right, the university comes in at the No. 96 spot which happens to be 13 spots better than last year.
Texas Tech didn't just advance in public university rankings. The overall list of top national universities saw the university at the No. 186 spot. Now, that may sound pretty high until you learn that the grand total was out of 427 total national universities.
When it comes to strictly Texas universities, well, Texas Tech sits at a comfortable No. 9 spot out of a total of 36 schools. Now that isn't bad at all if you ask me.
What's Responsible for TTU's Constant Improvement?
Texas Tech's progress in the rankings is all thanks, in part, to three key factors, according to university President Lawrence Schovanec:
That progress is driven by the commitment of our faculty and staff, the accomplishments of our students and focus on student success and academic excellence.
In addition to rising in the national public universities rankings, Texas Tech also improved in the categories of Best Value (No. 120), Best for Veterans (No. 128), and Best Value for In-State Students (No. 63).
