Man Arrested in Amarillo for Deadly Shooting That Happened in Tulia
On Wednesday, January 5th, 37-year-old Fabian Saldana III was arrested in Amarillo for a deadly shooting that happened in Tulia the day before.
On Tuesday, January 4th, Tulia Police responded to the 800 block of North El Paso at around 7:30 a.m. to find 39-year-old Jonathan Ray Espinoza with multiple gunshot wounds. He was provided with first aid until EMS arrived at the scene and was then transported to Swisher Memorial Hospital.
KAMC News reports that Espinoza was then flown to University Medical Center in Lubbock, was eventually passed away due to the injuries he sustained in the shooting.
Saldana was identified as the suspect after police found the firearm used in the shooting near the scene. Tulia Police then contacted the Texas Rangers to assist in their investigation.
Saldana was arrested in Amarillo by the Texas Department of Public Safety and currently remains in the Randall County Jail with no current bond set. He is, as of right now, being held with no bond set.
