Texas Man Pleads Guilty of Filming Sexually Explicit Videos of Minors

A man from Plainview, TX has recently pleaded guilty to production of child pornography after previous admissions to having intercourse with at least one minor, according to a press release from the United States Attorney's Office.

In June, 2023, officers from Amarillo PD received information regarding 28-year-old Alejandro Aguirre contacting minors on the popular social media app Snapchat. One of the minors was a 16-year-old girl who, during interviews with police, stated that she and Aguirre engaged in sexual intercourse in Amarillo.

After Amarillo detectives brought this news to Aguirre, he admitted it was true and that he even recorded the event on his cell phone.

After APD obtained a search warrant for his phone, they discovered the recordings that Aguirre described, only there was something different. The minor that was shown in the video was not the same girl who APD interviewed.

After APD officers contacted the Plainview Police Department, the minor in the video was successfully identified as a separate 16-year-old girl living in Plainview. She also informed investigators that she and Aguirre had sexual intercourse and that she knew it was filmed.

Plainview Man Arrested on Multiple Charges

Alejandro Aguirre was originally arrested in October of 2023 on two counts of sexual assault of a child and two counts of sexual performance of a child, according to Lubbock Avalance-Journal. However, he was released on a $160,000 bond that same day.

Following Aguirre's recent guilty plea of production of child pornography, he will face a mandatory 15 to 30 years in federal prison once his sentencing date is set.
