Lubbock’s Mugshot Monday: 55 People Arrested Just in Time For May

We are officially in May and the weather better get the memo or I am about to start swinging. Mother Nature can just catch these hands. And I put that on my agua frescas and sonoran hot dogs.

But stick with me, friends, because if you've been busy or if you've been held in the Lubbock County Detention Center that means you may have missed everything that hit the news.

Mutilated Cattle and STAAR Testing

There are currently cows being mutilated in Madison County and it's a bit scary with how precise these cattle carvings are reported to be. Some are concerned that these chopped up cows are the work of a cult or even aliens. But to be honest, the only alien thing I can think of happening in Texas is that STAAR Assessment that's been working the last nerve of  every parent and child in the public school system. It's scary and leaves parents with the big questions like what if their child doesn't pass the STAAR but luckily there are solutions to this issue to help parents sleep.

Margarita Mooch and Cinco de Mayo

Avoid doing what one Lubbock man did, which was steal margaritas from a gas station. Because, seriously...who does that? This full grown adult man stole the premixed ready to-go margarita blend, which tells me one thing: he's lazy. Think about it, the thief could have enjoyed a margarita at one of the many Cinco de Mayo events being held around Lubbock. But until those Cinco de Mayo festivities, you can catch me at R Country Store Restaurant enjoying a burger slathered with their new bacon habanero jam, it's basically a fiesta on a patty.

These 55 mugshots are of individuals arrested and booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center during the week of April 24 - April 30, 2023. The individuals charged should be presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. All arrestees featured below are those charged with a felony offense. A felony offense is classified by the severity of punishment, ranging from the low level state jail felony all the way to a capital felony. Also featured are any Individuals who were held on a Fugitive Warrant or Detainer, a United States Marshall Remand, or Immigration Customs Enforcement Detainer.
