Cults, Aliens Or Killers? Cows Keep Being Found Mutilated In Texas

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office needs help investigating something incredibly disturbing, bizarre, and mysterious. There has been a string of cattle mutilation deaths that all share the same disturbing detail- the cows are found with their tongues surgically removed.

They've even taken to Facebook to ask for the public's help. Here is an expert from their post, some of the details are disturbing so be forewarned:

A straight, clean cut, with apparent precision, had been made to remove the hide around the cow’s mouth on one side, leaving the meat under the removed hide untouched. The tongue was also completely removed from the body with no blood spill.
It was noted there were no signs of struggle and the grass around the cow was undisturbed. No footprints or tire tracks were noted in the area.

The post goes on with even more puzzling... and disturbing details.

Other cows were also mutilated from other ranches. The tongue was removed with surgical precision as well, and on two cows, so were the genitals and anus.

Multiple similar incidents have been reported across the United States and we are actively coordinating with other agencies to find answers.

Clearly, predators or savaging animals are not doing this. They don't leave clean cuts and they don't leave behind meat.  So who or what is doing this?

A budding serial killer? This is perhaps the most rational answer. Some awful individual is driving around drugging animals (as there is no sign of struggle) and removing "trophies" from cows. This is possibly the most upsetting answer, too, as sick people like this tend to move on to people at some point-  if they haven't already.

A cult? Is there some organization of people doing this for some religious or magical purpose? Do they need the tongues for a ritual? The problem with this theory is that someone almost always gets scared or feels remorse and ends up telling authorities. Unless they are afraid they'll get the same treatment as the cows...

A Gang? Is it possible this is some sort of retaliation or communication among gang members? Is this the work of a cartel? It seems a little esoteric and obscure for a gang though, they tend to be very to the point with their violence.

Aliens? I mean, we've all seen TV and movies in which aliens abduct and mutilate cows, but the question has always been- why are they particularly obsessed with cows? Seems like a long way to travel to mutilate one particular species.

Whatever is going on, it's deeply unsettling, and the stuff of a horror movie. Madison County Sheriffs encourage anyone who may have any credible information to call their department at 936-348-2755. Ranchers, check your game cameras- you might be the first person to prove aliens are here after all.
