On Wednesday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Al Faison of the South Plains Honor Flight talked with Tom Collins and Laura Mac about the organization's upcoming fundraising golf tournament.

The tournament helps fund an annual trip that takes 100 World War II veterans to Washington D.C. to be able to visit the memorial to their service. The trip requires roughly $220,000 each year for flights, hotels, tour buses, guides, etc. to allow veterans to see what they could not without this program.

Monday, September 15th, the 4-man scramble will be held at the Rawls course, with lunch being held at 12:00 noon and a 1:30pm tee-off time. Tournament entry fee for a 4-man team is $450 which includes cart, t-shirt, goody-bag, etc., closest-to-the-pin contest, and and mulligans may be purchased.
