Thursday on KFYO Mornings Drue Banta and Taylor Flowers joined Dave and Matt to talk about the 2nd Annual RH Pickering Memorial Golf Tournament and Auction to raise money for Alzheimer's.

Drue and Taylor explained the severity of Alzheimer's, saying that one in three seniors dies with Alzheimer's and that it kills more than breast cancer and prostate cancer combined. Banta also said,

"We hope that the sooner we can get the money in those researcher's hands to do those studies and clinical trials, the better off we will all be."

The Golf Tournament will take place Friday, May 11th at the Rawls Golf Course at Texas Tech and will tee off at 1:30 PM. There will also be a silent auction with items such as hunting safaris, Mother's Day gifts, and items created by local artists. The auction will begin at noon and run until the last golfer is done.

The Alzheimer's association can be contacted at ALZ.org or at 1-800-272-3900.
