Wichita County Synthetic Pot Bust Valued at More Than $3.7 Million
Texas Department of Public Safety troopers seized more than 300,000 grams of synthetic marijuana Tuesday, January 27, near Iowa Park in Wichita County.
The department reported a trooper conducted a traffic stop on a 2013 General Motors U-Haul travelling southbound on US-287. During the stop driver Ramzi Khamis Issi, 51, of Yucaipa, California, exuded signs of ‘criminal activity’, said the DPS press release.
A subsequent search of the storage compartment unveiled 38 boxes containing K2 synthetic marijuana valued at more than $3.7 million.
Issi was booked into the Wichita County Jail on a charge of possession of a controlled substance over 400 grams. His bond is set at $100,000.
