Texas Awarded $4.7 Million in Shire Pharmaceuticals Medicaid Fraud Investigation

The federal government and 48 state attorney generals, including Texas Attorney General Greg Abbot, resolved a Medicaid fraud investigation with a $56.5 million agreement. The investigation was being conducted into Shire Pharmaceuticals LLC for unlawfully promoting Adderrall XR, Vyvanse, Daytrona, Lialda and Pentasa. Texas will receive $4.78 million from the settlement.
