After serving as a drive-thru COVID-19 testing site, the Patterson Library at 1836 Parkway Drive will reopen to the community on August 15th.

The Library has been professionally cleaned and staff have worked hard to make the facility safe and inviting for the community.

The celebration will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A stunt kite demonstration will be from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.; food trucks will be on site from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will also be "take and make" crafts for all ages, book giveaways from Literacy Lubbock, games and prizes.

The Library asks visitors to please remember to bring face coverings.
