A local fast food restaurant will hold an event in appreciation of first responders.

The Chick-fil-A restaurant at 69th Street and Slide Road, in partnership with American National Bank, will hold a First Responders Appreciation Night on Tuesday, June 25th from 6 to 8 p.m.

Sales during that time period will be tracked, and 20 percent of sales from the evening will be donated to the Lubbock Regional Public Safety Memorial.

American National Bank has agreed to match the total provided by Chick-fil-A.

“Our first responders always have our community at their best interest,” said Abie Rampy, Chick-fil-A director of marketing. “This evening allows families to come together, learn important safety tactics, and support a memorial for our fallen first responders.”

Lubbock Police, EMS, Lubbock Fire Department, and DPS will provide emergency vehicle tours and safety activities for children. Free Child-ID kits will also be available for children attending the event through New York Life.
