Lane Closures Expected on South Loop 289 Thursday Morning

Lane closures are scheduled for South Loop 289 starting tomorrow morning.  TxDOT crews will close the  main lanes of South Loop 289 just east of University will reduce traffic down to one lane beginning at 9am.

The closure of the lanes will allow work crews to perform pavement work and the work should be completed by 3pm, weather permitting.

The eastbound South Loop on ramp, east of University, will also be closed to traffic.

Other road work in Lubbock this next week include work on 82nd street from Frankford to Milwaukee and Spur 327 to 82nd Street along Frankford. Construction continues in South Lubbock County on U.S. 87 from Farm to Market Road 1585 to the Lynn County line.

As always, use caution when driving through these areas and be on the lookout for workers in the construction zones.
