An annual event will take place very soon.

The West Texas Home Builders Association is hosting this year’s Fall Tour of Homes on September 28th and 29th and October 5th and 6th.

The Fall Tour of Homes will feature 17 homes ranging in price from around $260,000 to just under $1 million, and each home will be available for public tours between 1 to 5 p.m. each day.

The homes are available in South and Southwest Lubbock, and one home is in Shallowater.

Admission is free but online donations to Lubbock Homes for Heroes are encouraged at www.LubbockHomesforHeroes.com.

The charity was established by the WTHBA to build homes in the area for deserving men and women who have served in the military and been injured in the line of duty.

For the first time in the charity’s history, the Hero home will be featured as part of the Fall Tour of Homes. The home built for Sergeant Shawn Walton and his family is located in the Cooper Ridge subdivision at 2911 108th Street.

Army Sergeant Shawn Walton stepped on an IED in 2007 while serving in Iraq. Walton’s family will be the third hero awarded a home by Homes for Heroes.

Photos, pricing, builder, home details, and a map of the event locations are available at www.LubbockFallTourofHomes.com.
