Merinda Condra is a lawyer, and the founder and executive director of Adoption Covenant.  That's  a non-profit child-placing agency that helps childen who don’t have parents, and helps birth mothers who are placing their children for adoption.

During an interview for This Week In Lubbock, KFYO’s public service program,  Condra talks about who is eligible to adopt.

“Anyone who is an adult, 21 years old –  25 for an international  adoption,” Condra said.   “They need to have a pretty clean background check, and financial means to care for another child, and the room in their home to do it.”
