Texas Tech’s track teams are trying to work toward a trophy at the NCAA Championships.

The Lady Raiders and Red Raiders begin competition Wednesday in Des Moines, Iowa, with the men looking to challenge for its first NCAA team title.

The men have sent nine student-athletes to compete in seven different events. The Lady Raiders have sent seven student-athletes to compete in five different events.

The Red Raiders are currently ranked 5th in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, and the women dropped out of the top 25 for the first time this season.
