Texas lawmakers are still working in Austin on property tax relief. A plan for a sales tax swap seems all but dead as of right now, and as Vance Ginn told KFYO on Tuesday, without spending restrictions, a sales tax swap would do little to lower the tax burden for most Texans.

According to the Houston Chronicle, the Texas Senate passed a school finance reform package on Monday that included a 10-cent property tax cut. According to the Houston Chronicle, the owner of a $200,000 home would save $175.
