Thursday on The Chad Hasty Show District 28 Senator Charles Perry joined Chad in the KFYO studio to talk about the many positive results for the state in the 86th session of the Texas Legislature.

Perry and Hasty discussed progress on the Texas Tech University veterinary school, Hurricane Harvey relief, the state's budget and specifics of spending in several areas, sunset bills, hemp legislation that will benefit agricultural producers, and important accomplishments on abortion alternatives that didn't make many headlines during the session.

While speaking about the status of the Texas Tech veterinary school, Perry said,

For all intents and practical purposes, we'll have a vet school with the first class starting in 2021.
