What Are Your Thoughts on the City Closing the Health Department? [POLL]

The City of Lubbock is set to close the Health Department and in recent meetings, local citizens have expressed outrage. The City claims funding is being slashed and in order to meet budget, they can't pay for the building or services. It's also been said that the services offered at the Health Department are offered elsewhere in Lubbock, so there is no reason to duplicate services.

Those opposing say that Lubbock needs a Health Department and that the services they offer are vital. Some citizens also say that the Health Department is a known location and one that is known by everyone. If it closes, they claim people will not know where to turn. Some citizens are also unhappy that their opinions aren't being heard by the City of Lubbock.
