On Tuesday night around 9:30 p.m., Lubbock Police were called to 37th Street and University Avenue after a truck crashed into a home.

Witnesses on the scene told KAMC News the truck hit a tree, then swerved and went straight into a home on the 2400 block of 37th street.

Two people inside the house were in a room next to where the crash occurred. However, no injuries have been reported.

One person was detained by police after the crash and the Lubbock Fire Department removed the tree from the northbound lanes of University Ave.

Traffic in the northbound lane was blocked for about an hour following the accident.

No names have been released at this time.
