Thursday on Sunrise LBK with Dave King and Tom Collins, The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Tom Collins and guest host Matt Crow to talk about his test drive of the week, driving in bad weather, as well as other auto industry news.

This week The Car Pro was test driving the 2022 Infiniti QX50 Autobiography, Infiniti's top of the line SUV. Jerry started his review by saying that Infiniti has really raised the bar in the past couple of years in terms of luxury. For a long time, Infinitis were just a little bit nicer Nissans, but in recent years they have done great things with their interiors. The 2022 Infiniti QX50 is a mid sized 5 passenger SUV with a 2 liter, 4 cylinder engine and a turbocharger that gets 28 miles to the gallon on the highway and 22 in town, which Jerry says is not too bad for an SUV since they tend to be heavy. The car is also all wheel drive, which he says is helpful in this weather. The only thing Jerry wasn't thrilled about on the car is the window sticker price of $62,800, which he says is a lot for a 5 passenger these days. It is, however, in line with Audi and Mercedes, but if you look at Hyundai or Kia, you can find similar things for about $10,000 less.

The Car Pro also talked about a story on his website carprousa.com called Don't Fear the Turbocharger. Jerry explained that when people think of turbochargers, they tend to think of how they were 20 years ago, which wasn't very dependable. But that has all changed. In fact, if you get a new car today, it will probably have a turbocharger engine.
