The Texas Tech-Arkansas matchup in the 2019 SEC/Big 12 challenge is scheduled to take place on January 26th, 2019.

This is the 6th annual SEC/Big 12 Challenge and it will feature 10 games. The ESPN Networks will carry the games with the times and exact assignments TBD. The Big 12 has a 29-21 all time lead in the series, but the SEC won 6-4 last season because OU choked at the end of their game and let Alabama beat them.

It was the first-ever win for the SEC.

Texas Tech and Arkansas have played 78 times in their history and are knotted up at 38 wins apiece, which is pretty remarkable. The last time the two teams met was in 2016 with Arkansas getting the win in Fayetteville.

Chris Beard is undefeated in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge, beating LSU in 2017 and South Carolina in 2018. The Red Raiders are 3-2 overall.

All 10 Big 12 teams participate in the challenge, while several SEC schools are left out of action.

Here is a complete list of the teams participating in the challenge and where the games will take place:

  • Arkansas at Texas Tech
  • Alabama at Baylor
  • Florida at TCU
  • Texas at Georgia
  • Kansas at Kentucky
  • Iowa State at Ole Miss
