
Texas Tech Suffers Blowout Loss To Alabama In The NCAA Tournament
Texas Tech was riding high after their opening round win over Akron on Friday. In their first round win over 12-seeded Akron, everything was clicking for the Red Raiders. The offence looked great and commentators were raving about the defense.
The Red Raiders were eyeing another shot at the Sweet 16. All they had to do was get past Alabama, a team that is known for having the best offense in the nation.

For all that went right in round 1, the wheels came off against Alabama. Texas Tech fell behind early in the game and with Alabama making 19 three-pointers and shooting 30-of-68 from the field, the Red Raiders quickly found themselves trailing by 20.
Alabama's defense was also able to shutdown Texas Tech's biggest shooting threats. Texas Tech lost to Alabama 90-65.
This was Texas Tech's third straight appearance in the NCAA under Head Coach Grant McCasland. Texas Tech finishes the season with a record of 23-11 and went 12-6 in the Big 12. And that's with losing star player J.T. Toppin during the season.

Texas Tech will start the process of getting ready for next season and another run to the NCAA Tournament.
