Terrance Shannon Jr. is a four star prospect from Illinois and he held offers from DePaul and the University of Illinois, but as of this afternoon, he has chosen to become a Red Raider.

The signing of Shannon will push the 2019 class, that includes Jahmius Ramsey, Kevin McCullar, Khalid Thomas, Russell Tchewa and Andrei Savrasov to the 2nd ranked class in the Big 12 behind the University of Texas. Though it can be argued that because of the depth and variety it's far and away the best class in the Big 12. It's also ranked 14th in the nation.

Both Jahmius Ramsey and Terrance Shannon Jr are ranked in the top 100 recruits according to ESPN.com.

Shannon commits to Texas Tech over the aforementioned DePaul and Illinois, but also held offers from Florida State, Georgetown, Texas A&M, Maryland and more.
