Introducing the 2026 Texas Tech Hall of Fame Inductees

Texas Tech had a momentous year with many highs, lows, and headline acts, but when it comes to making the cut for Hall of Fame eligibility, it boils down to the best of the best.

Texas Tech Athletics just released the eight new members that have the honor of joining the 2026 Hall of Fame, and you may be surprised to hear some of the picks mentioned.

2026 Texas Tech Hall of Fame

Each of the eight newcomers will be inducted during the weekend of September 26 when Texas Tech football faces Sam Houston.

Here are the soon-to-be Hall of Famers from Texas Tech this year:

• Bradley Adkins - Track and Field (2013-2016)
• Hannah Carson - Track and Field (2013-2016)
• Joel Filani - Football (2003-2006)
• Eric Gutierrez - Baseball (2013-2016)
• Jaelene Hinkle - Soccer (2011-2014)
• Ashley Parker - Softball (2004-2007)
• Louis Vasquez - Football (2005-2008)
• Rayford Young - Basketball (1996-2000)

A Dynamic 2026 Class

This year is special due to the fact that Eric Gutierrez, one of the program's best players in its history, is finally being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Gutierrez, a Gold Glove winner first baseman, brought Texas Tech to their very first College World Series during his sophomore year in 2014.

He was also named Big 12 Player of the Year as a senior with a .333 batting average, 13 home runs, 17 doubles, and 60 runs batted in during that season before being drafted to the Miami Marlins in 2016.

Another impressive name on the list is Bradley Adkins. Under the master tutelage of Wes Kittley, Adkins became the first Red Raider to represent Texas Tech in the high jump during the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
