A juvenile has been arrested for their involvement in a shooting that took place in Plainview back in September 2020, but details of exactly what happened remain unclear.

The Plainview Police Department reports that on September 25, 2020, at about 10:40 p.m., shots were fired at the Allsup’s gas station at 1307 West 24th Street in Plainview.

Investigators determined that a shooting occurred outside the gas station when 2 of the would-be victims got into an argument with the suspect.

The suspect allegedly fired multiple shots, injuring both victims and causing damage to the store front and at least one vehicle.

It’s not clear exactly how injured both victims were, but they were reportedly flown to a Lubbock hospital for treatment and were said to be recovering.

After a weeks-long investigation, Plainview police arrested a 16-year-old shooting suspect on Wednesday, Oct. 7. The suspect is currently being held at the Lubbock County Juvenile Justice Center and has yet to be identified.

The shooting is not the only notable act of violence that occurred in Plainview back in September. Police also responded to reports of a domestic assault taking place back on September, 19th.

Officers responded to a residence in the 1000 block of West 10th Street where a man told police that the mother of his children had drove to his house and beaten him with a bat while their kids were still in the car.

The woman apparently left the scene before police could arrive, but police say she is wanted for aggravated assault.
