Plains Cotton Growers’ Kody Bessent to Speak at Next Lubbock Area Republican Women’s Meeting
The Lubbock Area Republican Women (LARW) have set the details for their next lunch meeting. It will be held Thursday, February 18 from 11:30am to 1pm at the Lubbock Women's Club at 2020 Broadway.
Kody Bessent from Plains Cotton Growers will be the featured speaker at next week's luncheon. Bessent currently serves as PCG's Vice President of Operations and Legislative Affairs. Before joining PCG Bessent served as the Legislative Affairs Director for the High Plains Underground Water Conservation District.
"LARW is honored to have Kody Bessent speak to us regarding his vast experience in agriculture and in government affairs which impact West Texans," said LARW President Chalon Goodley.

Kody Bessent, Vice President of Operations and Legislative Affairs for Plains Cotton Growers, Inc. will be the guest speaker. His work deals with operations and with state and federal legislative matters affecting West Texas cotton producers. He formerly served as the Legislative Affairs Director for the High Plains Water District and as Vice President of Legislative Affairs and Producers Relations for the Texas Wheat Producers Board.
Lubbock Area Republican Women provides information on candidates, political views, and community involvement. The organization meets the 3rd Thursday of each month.
