A statewide agricultural organization has been honored.

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service has awarded their Extension Partnership Award to Texas Cotton Producers Inc.

According to Plains Cotton Growers, Inc., Texas Cotton Producers Inc. has worked on a number of endeavors with AgriLife Extension, Texas A&M AgriLife Research, and others to promote the interests of cotton growers.

Those endeavors include formation of the statewide integrated pest management program, Texas Pest Management Association, Texas Boll Weevil Eradication Program, and the Texas Boll Weevil Eradication Foundation, according to Steve Byrns with AgriLife Today.

The AgriLife Extension Partnership Award recognizes vital alliances with agencies, organizations, and others outside the Texas A&M University System whose support has enhanced outreach and impact of extension education for Texas.
