Texas Tech will co-host a forum to discuss the impact of the Farm Bill next week.

The Texas Tech University Center for Agricultural Technology Transfer, Plains Cotton Growers, Inc., and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension – Lubbock County will host “The 2014 Farm Bill: Changes in Crops and Conservation” issues forum.

The forum will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 24th at the Texas Tech University International Cultural Center, located at 601 Indiana Avenue.

The forum will provide attendees an overview of the major changes in crop and conservation policies, and a chance to ask questions about their individual operations.

Guest speakers will present various topics of interest in the Bill, and will highlight changes that will impact South Plains producers.

Those speakers include Darren Hudson with the Texas Tech Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics and Jay Yates of the Texas A&M AgrilLife Extension Service.

The event is free to attend and open to the public.
