Thursday on Lubbock's First News, Mary Jane Buerkle of Plains Cotton Growers described some things to expect at the upcoming annual meeting.

The meeting is free and open to the public. It will take place April 4 at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the event will begin at 9:00 a.m. Refreshments will be provided and lunch will be served afterward. Bruce Vincent, a third generation logger and motivational speaker, will be the key note speaker. Other speakers include John McGuire, who will speak on the 2014 Farm Bill, and Brandon Willis. Buerkle said, "If you have a key interest in the cotton industry and you want to hear what these people have to say and you want to come... network with the other people who are going to be there at the meeting, then just come on."
