Lubbock Symphony Orchestra Performs Handel’s Messiah This Weekend
Wednesday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, the Music Director of the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra David Cho joined Dave and Matt to talk about the Symphony's upcoming show this Saturday.
This Saturday, December 1st, the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra lead by David Cho and The Lubbock Chorale lead by John Hollins will be performing George Frideric Handel's Messiah, one of the most famous and well-known choral works ever written. The Orchestra will perform with twelve choral members, including four world renowned soloists: Amy Owens, Quinn Patrick Ankrum, Eric Rieger, Gerald Dolter.
"It's going to be a very enjoyable evening of holiday classics provided by the Lubbock Symphony, and I understand that Handel's Messiah has been a very favorite tradition of the Lubbock community."
The event will take place at the Lubbock Civic Center at 7:30 on Saturday. Tickets are going fast but are currently available at lubbocksymphony.org, by calling 762-1688, or by going to 601 Ave K.
