Lubbock Parks and Rec To Host National Night Out
It's always a good thing to meet your neighbors and know what is going on in your neighborhood and community. Sadly, it seems like fewer people these days know who their neighbors are and community engagement is falling.
That's why National Night Out is such a positive thing. It encourages neighbors to get to know each other in a fun atmosphere. Lubbock Parks and Recreation will be hosting National Night Out on August 1, 2023 at the Maggie Trejo Supercenter from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. according to a press release from the City of Lubbock.
Trejo Supercenter is located at 3200 Amherst Street.
National Night Out is a community building campaign to enhance the relationship between neighborhoods and their local law enforcement to provide a true sense of community.
Enjoy the night with live mariachi music, hot dogs and chips, a movie in the park, and a free backpack give-a-way! Parks and Recreation will also have the Pop-Up-Park trailer for more entertainment.
More neighborhoods around Lubbock should participate in National Night Out and we should all do a better job getting to know our neighbors.
