For the third consecutive year, a Texas Tech Red Raider has been selected in the NBA Draft.

Wednesday night November 18th), Jahmi'us Ramsey was selected by the Sacramento Kings in the 2nd Round with the 43rd pick.

Last season, Ramsey was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Year, All-Big 12 Second Team, NABC All-District First Team, Big 12 All-Newcomer Team, Big 12 All-Freshman Team. He was also selected as Big 12 Newcomer of the Week three times in his only season with Texas Tech.

In the 2019-20 season, in 27 games, Ramsey averaged 15 points per game for Texas Tech. He also averaged 4 rebounds and 2 assists per game. He shot 44 percent from the field and 64 percent from the free throw line. When Ramsey makes his transition to the G-League and the NBA, he'll need to improve his free throw shooting

In the 2019 NBA Draft, Jarrett Culver was drafted in the 1st Round by the Phoenix Suns and traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Culver played in 63 games in the 2019-20 season. He averaged 9.2 points per game and 3 rebounds per game. Culver shot 40 percent from the field and 46 percent from the free throw line.

In the 2018 NBA Draft, Zhaire Smith was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers. He's spent portions of the past two seasons in both the NBA and the G-League. In the 2019-20 season, Smith played 7 games with the 76ers and averaged 1.1 points per game.
