A lot Happening In Lubbock To Ask The Mayor About During This Month’s Coffee With The Mayor

This week, Mayor Dan Pope will host Coffee With The Mayor. The monthly event takes place this week on Wednesday, June 19th beginning at 7:30 a.m. at Red Zone Cafe located at 3602 Slide Road.

There is a lot happening in Lubbock that you can get answers on potentially. Recently, the Lubbock City Council sold it's current City Hall building to South Plains College. LEDA, will be giving over $13 million to South Plains College, $10 million of that is for cost of renovations.

That purchase was made necessary because Citizen's Tower is scheduled to be open later this year. Recently there have been news stories about the progress of Citizen's Tower and the lack of parking for employees and residents.

The Texas Legislature has also wrapped up and City leaders are looking to see what impact the legislature will have on the City of Lubbock.
