Cole Shooter, KFYO.com

A Lubbock street will have some lane closures early this week to allow police to investigate a three-car wreck that occurred over the weekend.

The wreck occurred about 3 p.m. on Saturday near 34th Street and Knoxville Avenue.

According to Lubbock Police, 36-year-old Guadalupe Alejandro was traveling northbound when he reportedly ran a stop sign and hit a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Sierra Harris.

Another vehicle with two people then crashed into Alejandro’s car.

Harris was taken to University Medical Center, where she is currently listed in critical but stable condition.

Police arrested Alejandro and has been charged with intoxication assault. He is currently at University Medical Center for treatment. The passenger in Alejandro’s vehicle, 30-year-old Blake Townley, was also arrested for public intoxication.

Lubbock Police will reduce 34th Street at Knoxville Avenue to one lane in each direction beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 4th for a follow up investigation. They anticipate that the investigation will take around three hours to complete.
