Two are being charged in an investigation surrounding the death of a Frenship ISD Student in October.

A minor and an adult will be charged with providing alcohol to 17-year-old Connor Mercer, who was hit by a pickup truck why lying, intoxicated, in a roadway near 87th street and Upland Avenue. The minor will also face charges for possession. If convicted, they could face up to a year in jail, $4,000 in fines and a driver’s license suspension.

Toxicology results show that Mercer’s blood alcohol content was .231, 3 times the legal limit for adults. No charges have been made against the driver of the pickup which hit Mercer.
